2028 Five-Star Watchlist: Klein Oak RB Micah Rhodes has 20+ Offers

Klein Oak 2028 RB Micah Rhodes burst onto the scene with 1,000+ yards and is now a national recruit with 24 offers, including Texas, Texas A&M and Ohio State.

Klein Oak 2028 RB Micah Rhodes (5'10, 185) didn't waste any time making a name for himself on the Texas high school football scene.

As a freshman, Rhodes exploded for 1,048 rushing yards and 10 touchdowns, earning DCTX four-star status and a spot on the five-star watchlist for the Class of 2028.

His early success has translated into national recognition, with 24 scholarship offers already in hand from powerhouses like Texas, Texas A&M, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Penn State and more.

"Man, it was crazy," Rhodes said, recalling his varsity debut. "That first game was wild—I'm not gonna lie. Coming out and hearing the crowd, feeling that energy, it was something special. The biggest difference for me was the speed of the game. It took some adjusting, but I picked it up as the season went on."

Though Rhodes already runs with the poise of a veteran, he's made it clear he's only scratching the surface and plans to build on last year's 6-5 campaign and playoff run.

"I had a great first year, but that's just the foundation. I'm looking to build on it," he said. "This upcoming season, y'all are definitely gonna see something different from me."

Closing in on 25 offers, the recruiting attention has come quickly, and Rhodes is soaking it all in while keeping a grounded perspective.

"It's a huge blessing. There are a lot of guys out here without any, so I'm grateful to be in this position," Rhodes said.

He still remembers the moment it all began.

"Baylor was the first," he said. "I'll never forget it. My dad came banging on the door like, 'Hey Micah, we might get an offer tonight. Get ready!' It was a special moment for me and my family."

Among the national offers, a couple caught his attention.

"Definitely Ohio State and Penn State," Rhodes said. "I think I got both on the same day while I was at school. That was a huge day for me—it really opened my eyes. Those are big-time programs."

Even with the attention pouring in, Rhodes has his eyes on college football bluebloods.

"For sure—Georgia, Bama. I need all of that," he said. "Now it's on me to go earn it."

With elite vision, burst and maturity beyond his years, Rhodes looks poised to be one of the most talked-about names in Texas for years to come.
