San Antonio Madison 2026 WR Jordan Clay (6-3, 195) committed to play for the Baylor Bears over Oklahoma and Colorado. The four-star pass catcher ranks within the top 10 wide receivers in the state of Texas and holds a top 40 spot in the DCTX Rising 100.
He had taken several visits to Waco and developed strong relationships with Aranda and the rest of the coaching staff.
"I've gotten to know all the coaches by heart," Clay said. "Just being up there, I love the family aspect of things."
Clay totaled 900 yards and five touchdowns to earn 27-6A unanimous first-team all-district honors as a junior. A big-bodied receiver with strong 10.5-inch hands and an elite ability to high point the ball, Clay acquired 30 offers leading up to his committment. And sometimes with that many offers, it's tough to narrow down your list. But there was one coach that made Clay's recruiting process seem easy.
"Coach (Dallas) Baker knows what he's talking about when it comes to the recruitment process," Clay said. "He was always talking to me and has helped me from a coaching and university standpoint. I'm not even on the campus yet, but he's helped me become a better man. He is definitley a role model to me."
Baylor has exceeded expectations on the recruiting trail for the class of 2026, and has, so far, been able to pull in 16 total commitments. Even though the class of 2026 still has another year before they can arrive on campus, there's already a bond between the group.
"Almost every '26 player in this class, we all follow each other on Instagram and text each other," he said. "The bond is already growing."
