Big Game Prediction: Silsbee (12-0) vs. Bellville (12-0)

Five-star Dre’lon Miller hopes to lead the Silsbee Tigers against D.J. Sanders, DD Murray, Sam Hranicky, Seth Sturm and the Bellville Brahmas in the 2023 TXHSFB Playoffs.

Silsbee (12-0) vs. Bellville (12-0), 7:30 p.m. Friday at Spring’s Planet Ford Stadium: The other massive matchup this week in 4A-Division II pits a Silsbee team that’s been ranked No. 2in the state all year against a Bellville squad that has been the most dominant team in the state in all of Class 4A.

Silsbee took down Gatesville 35-10 last week without five-star WR Dre’lon Miller.

Bellville has just been a buzzsaw all season long. The Brahmas have won all 12 games by at least 28 points this season, including last week’s 67-0 demolition of Madisonville.

Bellville’s rushing trip of DD Murray, Sam Hranicky and Seth Sturm combined for over 400 yards rushing and five touchdowns to lead the offense. DT D.J. Sanders leads a dominant defense for Bellville.

The big question surrounding this game is Miller’s status for this week. If he plays Silsbee will be explosive enough to finally test the Bellville secondary. But even with Miller, Silsbee hasn’t looked sharp on the offense as of late and Bellville is playing state championship caliber football.

Stepp’s Pick: Bellville by 7
