Crawford (1-0) at Centerville (1-0): It’s a showdown of powers on opposite ends of Central Texas as Crawford from west of I-35 heads east all the way to I-45 to tangle with Centerville in a battle of teams who looked strong in Week 1.

Crawford took down a much-improved Goldthwaite squad, 28-14, as the Pirates defense forced three key turnovers and converted two of those turnovers into points, which proved to be the difference in the win.

Centerville headed north on I-45 last week and took down rival Buffalo, 27-6. Andrew Norman and Terrell Brooks posted long touchdown runs that proved to be the difference. Crawford is young and still trying to figure things out.

This was a barnburner a year ago that went Crawford’s way at home. This time, with Centerville at home, we give the edge to the Tigers.
