No. 1 RB Taylor Tatum Commits to Oklahoma Sooners over USC

Brent Venables and the Oklahoma Sooners have secured a commitment from Longview four-star running back Taylor Tatum.

Longview 2024 RB Taylor Tatum (5'11, 200) committed to Oklahoma over USC during a live commitment ceremony hosted by Longview Gameday at Longview High School.

Tatum cited the Sooners' move to the SEC being a key factor in his decision-making process. 

The No. 1 RB in the 2024 DCTF Rising Hot 100 is also a high-level baseball recruit and he has plans to play both sports in Norman. 

As a junior, Tatum rushed for 1,891 yards and 33 touchdowns, earning 7-5A Division I Offensive MVP honors and was named to the 2023 DCTF Whataburger Preseason Super Team.
