UTEP wide receiver and punt returner Marcus Bellon was named Conference USA Special Teams Player of the Week

UTEP wide receiver and punt returner Marcus Bellon was named Conference USA Special Teams Player of the Week after his 47-yard punt return touchdown in the Miners’ 27-10 victory over Boise State this past Friday.

UTEP wide receiver and punt returner Marcus Bellon was named Conference USA Special Teams Player of the Week after his 47-yard punt return touchdown in the Miners’ 27-10 victory over Boise State this past Friday. 

At the time of the punt return the score was 13-10 late in the 3rd quarter in UTEP’s favor. Bellon’s punt return gave the Miners a ten-point lead and completely changed the facet of the game. This was Bellon’s first career touchdown for UTEP and it was the Miner’s first punt return for a touchdown since September 19, 2015 against New Mexico State.  

UTEP's next game is this coming Saturday on the road against Charlotte at 5:00pm (CT).
