Baylor, Dave Aranda agree to extension

Baylor has committed longterm to head coach Dave Aranda following a Big 12 championship and Sugar Bowl win in the 2021 football season with an extension through 2029.

Baylor did what it could to make sure Dave Aranda wouldn't be going anywhere anytime soon.

The Bears committed longterm to their head coach following a Big 12 championship and Sugar Bowl win in the 2021 football season. The new deal extends Aranda through 2029.

As a private institution, Baylor does not disclose specific contract terms. Aranda has coached two seasons in Waco. The Bears went 3-7 in 2020 and 12-2 in 2021.
