Highlighting a very talented 2021 Daingerfield squad is 2024 ATH Aeryn Hampton (5'10, 175). An East Texas prospect that first jumped on to DCTF's radar last year when he made varsity contributions as a freshman.
This season Hampton started accumulating impressive numbers from the word "go." He intercepted seven balls through the first nine games and returned five of them for scores. A quick watch of his highlights show an appetite for physical play as well.
Making strong contributions on both sides of the ball has allowed Hampton to show off his diverse skill set. On offense, Hampton has been a menace out of the slot with large chunk plays fueled by separating speed. His play on offense adds good context to his overall athletic ability.
Since mid-October, Hampton has added offers from Arkansas, Baylor, Oklahoma State, Texas, Texas A&M, TCU and UTSA.
