Former TXHSFB star, Super Bowl champ gets day named after him in hometown

Tampa Bay Bucs running back Ronald Jones now has a "Ronald Jones II Day" in his hometown of McKinney, Texas on July 26.

Ronald Jones has had quite the year. 

He helped lead the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to a Super Bowl with a 31-9 drubbing of the Kansas City Chiefs on Feb. 7 and, today, was given a huge honor in his hometown of McKinney, Texas.

The former McKinney North star was given a day named after him - Ronald Jones II Day - on June 26, 2021.

Jones rushed for 4,810 yards and 73 touchdowns at North, where he was named an All-American. He went on to play at USC before being selected in the second round (38th overall) by the Bucs in the 2018 NFL Draft.
