Pampa ramped up their interview process this week as they look to replace Greg Poynor, who departed to take over as the HFC/AD at Seminole.
Reports are five candidates were interviewed this week and they included a coordinator from the Permian Basin, a South Plains coordinator, a position coach from a Central Texas powerhouse, an athletic director on the South Plains who used to be a head coach and a current head coach in Oklahoma.
Several sources indicate the coordinator from the Permian Basin may be the early favorite in this race.
