TCU football has added a commitment from graduate transfer linebacker Mark Jackson, according to a report from 247Sports.
Jackson redshirt in 2019 to preserve his final year of eligibility as a graduate transfer. The 2016 recruit played in 32 games as a Sooner, he accumulated 53 tackles, eight tackles for loss and four sacks. Most of the production came during his junior season.
Jackson played outside linebacker in Oklahoma's system. However, he may be a better fit as a defensive end in Gary Patterson's 4-2-5 defense with his 6-foot-1, 236-pound frame, much larger than Garret Wallow's 212 pounds. The Horned Frogs posted one of the worst sack years of the Patterson era in 2019
Before college, Jackson ranked as a consensus 4-star recruit out of Cibolo Steele. Texas Football ranked Jackson as the No. 32 player in the state as a defensive end prospect. He posted 21 tackles for loss, 17 quarterback hurries and 10 sacks in 13 games.
