We want to celebrate senior student-athletes across the state of Texas who have had their seasons cut short due to the Coronavirus pandemic! Have a male or female student-athlete you think deserves recognition? Email us at william.wilkerson@texasfootball.com with a bit about what makes them so special, including on-field and classroom accomplishments and pictures!

"RJ Bendert is a dual-sport athlete participating in football and track. He will be attending Sam Houston State to play football and continue his education.  He is a leader on the field and in the classroom, is very respected by teachers and coaches, and will be missed at McKinney North.

"He really enjoys teaching the younger ones coming up during the football season and is excited to watch the upcoming senior class for 202 do something special from where the 2020 class left off.

"Whether in class or on the field, he doesn’t stop until he gets what he wants and he knows he truly earns everything that is presented to him. He started on the “C” team in middle school and worked his way up to a being a Division 1 football player; he will not stop until he gets what he wants.  His academics are just as important participating in AVID, maintaines a 3.3 GPA and will graduate in the top 30 percent of his class."
