Top Area Prospects Set to Play in 42nd San Antonio Sports All-Star Football Game

DCTF is proud to be a partner for the San Antonio Sports All-Star Football Game presented by H-E-B, which will showcase top local high school players on Saturday, Jan. 4, 2020 in the Alamodome at 5 pm. It’s the 42nd anniversary of the game.

Top Prospects to Watch

QB Mike Chandler - Judson

One of the most electric athletes in the area, Chandler has led Judson to double-digit wins the past two seasons. He was selected as one-of-25 finalists for Mr. Texas Football Player of the Year. Chanler is considering offers from SWOSU, Mary-Hardin Baylor and Rockford.

LB Derrick Lewis - Schertz Clemens

The Texas Tech commit had a bounce-back senior year after missing most of his junior campaign with an injury. The three-star prospect makes physical plays as an enforcer in the middle of the defense. A genuinely athletic inside linebacker.

WR Rashod Owens - Roosevelt

Owens is one of the state's most intriguing uncommitted prospects. He is versatile enough to play several different positions in college but will be playing wide receiver in this game. Owens signed with Oklahoma State and is slated to remain on the offensive side of the ball.

TE Nick Patterson - SACS

The Michigan commit is the younger brother of Wolverines' quarterback Shea Paterson. Nick is a tall and lean possession receiver who shows the ability to catch the ball in tight places with no fear. He has stick hands and will help keep the chains moving.
