Texas A&M was one of four schools to make the cut for Mayde Creek DE Marcus Stripling (6'3, 260).
The Aggies join Alabama, LSU, and Oklahoma on Stripling's finalists' list. Stripling narrowed down to the top four from a collection of 20 scholarship offers.
A commitment is expected on Dec. 19, the opening day of the NCAA's initial college football signing period (Dec.19-21).
"Signing Day is coming soon, December 19th," Stripling said. "Stay tuned. My top four are A&M, LSU, Bama, and Oklahoma."
It is of note that Stripling has only taken one official visit to Oklahoma. He visited on Nov. 11 when OU escaped with a 48-47 win over Oklahoma State in the Bedlam rivalry.
Stripling took an unofficial visit to Texas A&M for its record-breaking 74-72 seven overtime win over LSU on Saturday.
Mayde Creek went 3-7 in 2018.
