Texas A&M wide receiver Jhamon Ausbon is out indefinitely after suffering a broken foot against Arkansas on Saturday, according to
Ausbon underwent surgery on his foot. There is no timetable for his return at this time. However, head coach Jimbo Fisher does not believe the surgery will keep him out for the rest of the season.
Ausbon, a true sophomore from IMG Academy, has quickly emerged as one of the best wide receivers on Texas A&M’s roster. He posted 50 catches for 571 yards and three touchdowns as a true freshman under Kevin Sumlin. Through five games, Ausbon had 15 catches for 221 yards in 2018.
In his absence, there will be added pressure on Kendrick Rogers and Quartney Davis at wide receiver. The Aggies have eight players with at least five receptions so far this season.
