Lions senior TAKES HOME STATEWIDE HONORS FOR WEEK 8 OF THE 2017 TEXAS HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL SEASON.
Congratulations to McKinney RB Matt Gadek, the Week 8 winner of the Mr. Texas Football Player of the Week award, presented by Wells Fargo in conjunction with the Advocare V100 Texas Bowl. The 6-0, 180-pound senior ran for a state record 599 yards and six touchdowns in the Lions’ 63-50 win over Plano East.
Lions fans can also be praised for their part in this honor, as they voted often enough to make sure that Matt received the most votes in the poll on TexasFootball.com.
