WR Dakorien Moore (Duncanville):
Committed to Oregon.
The 5-foot-11, 185-pounder is the No. 1 rated prospect in the state and picked the Ducks over offers from Texas, LSU and Ohio State, giving the program its first-ever No. 1-rated recruit from the Lone Star State.
CB Devin Sanchez (North Shore):
Committed to Ohio State.
The 6-foot-2, 170-pounder committed to Ohio State back at the All-American Bowl in January, giving the Buckeyes its highest-rated defensive commit ever from the Texas high school football ranks.
OT Ty Haywood (Denton Ryan):
Committed to Alabama.
The 6-foot-5, 285-pounder is s prototype SEC offensive tackle with long arms and impressive punch power. Haywood is rated as the No. 4 prospect in the state. He is the second highest-rated OT to commit to 'Bama from Texas.
LB Riley Pettijohn (McKinney):
Committed to Ohio State.
The 6-foot-2, 210-pounder is a versatile and productive linebacker who can play any of the linebacker positions. Checking in at No. 6 in the state, he is the second highest-rated LB to commit to the Buckeyes from Texas.
QB Keelon Russell (Duncanville):
Committed to Alabama.
The 6-foot-3, 175-pounder recently flipped his commitment from SMU to Alabama, signaling that the Crimson Tide are going to remain a huge factor in the Texas high school football recruiting landscape under the direction of first-year head coach Kalen DeBoer. Russell is the highest-rated TXHSFB QB to commit to 'Bama, edging out names like Jalen Hurts and Jalen Milroe.
