Duncanville 2024 DE Colin Simmons (6'3, 225) is a force to be reckoned with. 

The five-star racked up 79 tackles, 33 TFLs, and a school-record 22.5 sacks to lead the Panthers to the 6A Division I state championship.

It's no wonder he's considered one of the top recruits in the country and has earned 45 scholarship offers, including powerhouse programs like Alabama, Arizona State, Georgia, LSU, Ohio State, Oklahoma, TCU, Tennessee, Texas, Texas A&M, and USC.

But what makes Simmons such a highly sought-after prospect? Well, for starters, he's a game-altering pass rusher who possesses a rare blend of speed, power, and finesse. He's quick off the ball, has the burst to run around the corner, and can close on the quarterback in a flash. He also has a spin move that leaves offensive linemen in the dust. And if that wasn't enough, Simmons has a motor that doesn't quit.

So which of these top-tier programs has Simmons' heart set on? It's a tough call, as each one offers something special. 

At LSU, he feels like he's at home. Texas A&M's coaching staff, facilities, and hospitality are top-notch. Oklahoma's entire defensive coaching staff is recruiting him aggressively. And at Texas, he believes the program is "back." 

TCU wants him to stay home and be the face of the program. Arizona State offers a unique connection powered by a relationship with Ra'Shaad Samples, the son of his current high school coach Reginald Samples. 

But one visit that really caught his attention was to the reigning national champions at Georgia. He sees the program as "legit," with all the resources and coaches necessary to get him to the next level.
