Longview 2023 WR Jalen Hale (6'1, 185) announced his commitment to Alabama during a press conference held at Longview High School on Wednesday afternoon.

Hale picked the Crimson Tide over offers from Texas and Georgia.

"It was exciting to me," Hale said. "I had been waiting to get it over with, (and) I am ready to lock into the season now.

"You know what they do with receivers; they develop receivers. And they have a good academic program, and really I felt like that was the fit for me. It felt like home, and to me, I just feel like I will be a good fit in the offense."

Hale formed a really tight bond with Alabama Assistant Head Coach of Offense/Wide Receivers Holmon Wiggins.

"He is like a father to me," Hale said. "We built a good relationship. When I go down there, it's like he's my father, like my second father, so we got a good relationship.

Now that he is committed, Hale will focus on bringing some other TXHSFB recruits with him to Tuscaloosa, and he mentioned Aeryn Hampton, Derrick McFall and Johntay Cook specifically.
