Dave Campbell’s Texas Football is taking you through all the matchups you need to watch in Week 14 of the college football season. 

Early Window

Marquee Game: Rice vs. UAB, 12 p.m. on ESPN3

This game has a surprising amount of implications for a December game with just 11 combined games. However, this game will decide whether Rice finishes with a winning record for the first time since 2014. Plus, if Rice beat UAB, it would send in-state rival UTSA to the Conference USA title game. 

The last time Rice played, it was pulling the biggest upset of the college football season, dominating undefeated Marshall 20-0 on its home turf. UAB isn't doing itself any favors either, as the Blazers could be without numerous players due to COVID-19. This is a prime opportunity for the Owls to stirke. 

Afternoon Window

Marquee Game: Houston at Memphis, 2:30 p.m. on ESPNU

Can't Houston just catch a break? After losing five games in a row to start the season, the Coogs lost three straight games to end the year. Thankfully, Houston gets one more shot against a big-time opponent as the Cougars travel to face off against the AAC defending champion Memphis Tigers. 

This isn't the same level of Memphis team that we've come to know the past few years, which makes this a great opportunity for Houston. The Coogs have yet to put a complete game together, especially against a strong opponent. This is their chance. 

Evening Window

Marquee Game: Baylor vs. Oklahoma State, 6 p.m. on ESPNU

At the time this article was written, Baylor was still planning to play this game against the Cowboys despite shutting down operations. However, if this game happens, it will be a critical opportunity for Baylor to head into the 2021 offseason with some positive momentum. 

The Bears have steadily grown on the defensive side of the ball, culminating with holding Oklahoma to its worst offensive performance of the Lincoln Riley era. The Cowboys aren't as good as Oklahoma on offense, which gives the Bears a great chance. The only question: Can Baylor create any consistent offense? If they can, it's all systems go. 

Other Games: 

• TCU vs. Louisiana Tech, 6 p.m. on FS1: The Horned Frogs scheduled a late nonconference game against a Conference USA opponent and will have an opportunity to put together a complete game, perhaps for the first time this season.
