Give Lancaster 2021 RB DQ James (5-6, 165) an opportunity, and he will show you every single time how special of a talent he truly is. 

James took advantage of an opportunity at the Next Level Athlete Texas Top 100 Showcase when he put on an MVP performance at RB. 

The strong-willed running back attacks every rep with an attitude of domination.

"I came here with a mindset of domination. I know I have the best speed here, and it pays off," he said after the conclusion of the NLA camp. "One thing I did well was accelerate and make my opponent miss."

As a junior in 2019, the WEBO prospect continued to put his stamp on the Tiger offense as he averaged over 10 yards carry and finished the season with 14 total touchdowns.  

He's been a critical piece in a uber-talented Lancaster backfield that also LSU signee, Kevontre Bradford. James has served as a big-play threat for both the Lancaster offense and the special teams unit. 

A big reason for James' success as a player can be attributed to his high-level speed. Along with being a football player, he is also a member of the Lancaster track program participating in both the 4x100 and 4x200 relay events. The combination of both his electric speed and his playstyle may remind you of Darren Sproles. 

"My speed and route running are strengths in my game. Speed definitely kills. You can't tackle what you can't touch," James said.

At this point, James holds offers from ULM, Illinois State and Texas Southern, and he is hungry for more. 

"Hopefully, they (offers) start rolling in because I have something to prove," James said. 

Growing up James aspired to play for Baylor, SMU, Texas Tech, and Utah. 

"They're close to home. Those are my dream schools that I've always wanted to go to," James reported.
