Cypress Bridgeland 2020 WR Dylan Goffney (6'0, 190) is having a tremendous start to his junior season.

In two games Goffney has collected 12 receptions for 373 yards and five touchdowns.

"My intensity (and) aggressiveness," Goffney said when asked about his strengths. I feel like I can do some special things after I catch the ball when I run."

Goffney and the Bridgeland Bears are off to a 2-0 start after a 3-7 year in their inaugural season in  2018.

"You can tell there's a big difference in size with our team," Goffney explained. "So that's cool we've been working on trying to get stronger and faster."

"We're hard on ourselves because we want to be better. We don't want to go through something like last year, and we all expect ourselves to do better and be better."

Goffney has already picked up offers from schools like Arkansas, Arizona, Duke, Boston College and SMU.

The Razorbacks were his first offer.

"It was good," Goffney said. "It let me know all that hard work is paying off. My brother (Abilene Christian S Austin Goffney) and I work out all the time, and that's all starting to pay off. Hopefully, since more and more colleges are starting to come through, my teammates will start getting more offers too."

Goffney is also catching some serious interest from Texas. He has been on campus multiple times, including a trip to the Longhorns spring game.

"It was nice," Goffney informed. I like UT. I went there before because they invited me to a game as well so it's something that I have seen before and it's always really nice."

"I like the city. It seems like they care a lot about you too. The foundation and the culture there is great."
