At Dave Campbell’s Texas Football, we say “Where Legends Begin,” and Desoto 2026 WR Ethan “Boobie” Feaster’s (6'2, 180) TXHSFB story has been legendary.
Before he ever played a varsity snap at DeSoto, he already had over 20 college scholarship offers. That kind of early buzz is rare, even in a state like Texas.
Then, he became the first freshman to start at wide receiver for the Eagles, one of the most consistent producers of talent nationally.
Feaster backed up the hype by helping lead DeSoto to a 6A Division II state championship in 2023. Along the way, he earned the honor of becoming the youngest five-star prospect in the history of Dave Campbell’s Texas Football and picked up over 50 offers from top programs all over the country.
But in the end, he could only pick one.
On July 4, Feaster announced that he’s committing to the USC Trojans, choosing Lincoln Riley’s offense over Texas A&M, Alabama and LSU.
“Coach Riley, you know when you are at USC, you’re going to throw the ball,” Feaster said. “Lincoln Riley is there. You know you’re going to have a great quarterback.”
Feaster also pointed to USC receivers coach Dennis Simmons and the elite names he’s worked with in the past.
“He had Michael Crabtree, Ceedee Lamb, Dede Westbrook, and he also had Jordan Addison,” Feaster said. “He’s already coached some of the greats.”
And that’s the greatness Feaster is chasing.
“Back to the Crabtree part, you know, he had two Biletnikoffs, and I always wanted to win two Biletnikoffs,” he said. “That’s my plan going to college — to win the Biletnikoff twice.”
Feaster’s commitment to USC comes after he reclassified from the Class of 2027 to 2026, putting him ahead of schedule both academically and athletically. Still, he admitted it took some convincing to get his mom on board.
“It’ll be less tax on my body going into college, and I already have the credits for it,” he said. “I feel like it was the right decision.”
There’s still history to be made for Feaster in Texas. With 1,489 receiving yards and 23 career touchdowns, Feaster has a real chance to finish as DeSoto’s all-time leading receiver. But that’s not the main goal.
"This year is my senior, so I don't want to let down my coaches," Feaster said. I am going to do everything in my power, and I am sure the team is going to do everything in their power, to go win it all again."
Feaster is rated as the No. 1 wide receiver and No. 7 overall prospect in Texas in the 2026 DCTX Rising 100.
