Five 2026 TXHSFB QBs Add DCTX Three-Star Status

22 Texas-based quarterbacks have earned three-star honors in a deep, well-rounded class. Four of the five newest additions remain uncommitted and are strong FBS-caliber prospects.

Kase Evans (6'2, 200) - Lexington: The Oklahoma State commit led the Eagles to a 12-2 record, passing for 3,117 yards and 37 touchdowns to earn 13-3A Division II Offensive MVP honors.  

Maguire Gasperson (6'0, 195) - Argyle: Gasperson passed for 2,895 yards and 28 touchdowns to earn 3-5A Division II Overall MVP honors. FBS programs like North Texas, UTEP, Maryland and Tulane have offered. 

Zach Johnson (6'4, 220): Klein Cain: Johnson passed for 2,520 yards and 24 touchdowns to earm first-team 15-6A all-district honors. Lamar, SFA, UTEP and Coastal Carolina have offered. 

Jayden Maples (6'2, 200) - Frisco Wakeland: Maples passed for 2,810 yards and scored 30 total tpuchdowns to earn first-team 4-5A Division I all-district honors. SFA, UTEP, Arkansas State, Appalachian State and Southern Miss have offered.

Cole Taylor (6'3, 205) - Pflugerville: Taylor passed for 3,379 yards and scored 50 total touchdowns to earn first-team 11-5A Division II all-district honors. Marshall has offered.
