Top Offensive Lines in Class 4A & 3A for 2025
4A
5. Athens
Athens has 10 starters returning from its 8-3 team, including three All-District 8-4A DII linemen, which gives the program high hopes for the 2025 season.
Senior guard Brandon Casas was Second Team All-State a year ago with 62 pancake blocks. Aiden Robinson, whom coach Zac Harrell calls the hardest worker in the program, should play at the other guard spot after starting six games at tackle in 2024. Fellow senior tackle Jose Pimentel is a three-year letterman. Gus Wickel is one of the most versatile linemen after switching from right tackle to center for the last six games as a junior.
4. Canyon West Plains
We named Reid Macon and Kane White-Tinsley the No.2-overall QB/WR duo in Class 4A, but who gives them time to make their highlight reel plays? The Wolves return three offensive linemen who made the All District 2-4A DI Team.
Senior tackle Keegan Collins was a 4A Padilla Poll First Team All-State selection. The 6-6, 280-pound lineman is a Kansas State commit who graded out at 97% on the year and earned a THSCA Super Elite nod. Fellow tackle Omar Lopez (6-5, 295) was First Team All-District. Senior center Keaton Cheyne was the final piece to the best season in program history.
This unit will block for running back Slade Russell, who rushed for 1,697 yards and 24 touchdowns last year.
3. Sulphur Springs
Head coach Brandon Faircloth took over an 0-10 team, and by Year 3 last season, led the program to its most wins in a single season (10) since 2009. The rebuilt offensive line has been a huge factor in the success.
Senior tackle Vincent Johnson, a TCU commit, was an all-state selection last season. The 6-5, 315-pound prospect had 50 pancakes on the year. Guard Aidan McCarroll is the leader on the interior. The 6-3, 310-pound senior is a two-time First Team all-district selection who had 20 pancakes last year. These two will pave the way for running back Jaxon Haire, who had over 1,700 all-purpose yards in 2024.
2. Glen Rose
Glen Rose lost 4,000 passing yards from all-state quarterback Canyon Evans. But whoever takes over the reins will do so behind three offensive linemen who’ve each started 28 games over the last two seasons.
Center Chase Alexander (6-2, 285) was the District 4-4A DII Offensive Lineman of the Year, while junior Clark Anderson (6-5, 320) and senior Kaden Gray (5-11, 220) were First Team all-district selections. The unit wins with great technique and pre-snap recognition of multiple defensive fronts.
“They have consistently demonstrated the toughness and leadership necessary to excel on the offensive line and anchor the offense,” head coach Cliff Watkins said.
1. Sinton
Sinton has posted double-digit win seasons in three of the last four years under head coach Michael Troutman, and the offensive line looks to pave the way to the state quarterfinals once again.
Senior tackle Clay Mitchell - a TSWA All-State selection - is the unit’s headliner. The 6-5, 280-pound prospect graded out at over 98% last season, allowing one sack on 254 attempts. Two-time all-district center Zack Busack is the brains of the operation, while tackle Ezekiel Rodriguez didn’t allow a single sack in 2024. Jason Valdez grew up fast as a sophomore last season when he was forced to start due to an injury, and he’s now a known commodity this year.
This group should allow running back Mykha Green, the reigning District 15-4A DII Offensive Player of the Year, to run wild once again.
3A
5. Tidehaven
Tidehaven is one of Class 3A’s most experienced rosters, with multiple three-year starters who’ve been part of teams that have gone four, six, and five rounds deep in the playoffs, respectively.
Senior Jose Alejo is the offensive line’s honorary captain. The 6-foot, 235-pound guard spends his summers and weekends working with crews at his father’s construction business. Senior left tackle Hayden Culbreath (6-3, 275) is nicknamed “Big Chief” because he’s part Choctaw Indian. The First Team All-District 14-3A DII selection has generated college interest, but no offers yet.
4. Franklin
The offensive line is the heartbeat of Franklin’s Slot-T offense. Guard Logan Kilcrease was a TSWA First Team all-state selection with 50 pancakes. He earned District 11-3A DI Offensive Line MVP. Tight end AJ Phillips is considered an offensive lineman in Franklin’s scheme. The 6-5, 230-pound prospect earned First Team All-District as a sophomore. Senior center Parker Januse was a Second Team all-district pick. Tackle Jace Johnson was a Second Team All-District selection who'll pave the way for running back RJ Fulton (680 yards, five TD).
3. Van Vleck
Head coach Shannon Permenter expects to lean on his offensive line in Year 3 with the program. Kolby Moss, Tanner Arrington and Krishan Burk are all three-year starters returning in 2025. Moss and Burk were both Second Team District 14-3A DII selections.
Permenter says junior Cole Newell has the tools to become one of the best offensive linemen he’s coached. He broke a Class 3A state record this spring with a 555-pound bench press.
This group will ease things for two of Van Vleck’s all-district performers transitioning to new positions: quarterback Devin Barnes (tight end) and running back Connor Garrison (linebacker).
2. Columbus
Columbus might’ve lost Mr. Texas Football winner Adam Schobel, 2,000-yard rusher Grayson Rigdon and Defensive MVP John Schobel. But new faces at the skill positions should have plenty of opportunity for success behind an offensive line that returns all five starters. Columbus won its first state championship in program history despite losing two offensive linemen for the year with a torn ACL.
Junior left tackle Keyon Hemphill-Woods (6-4, 275) was a Padilla Poll First Team All-State selection. He’s tallied offers from Houston, UTSA and USF. At right tackle, Christopher Quinn is a college prospect who earned Second Team All-District 12-3A DI.
1. Wall
The Hawks' “Great Wall” protecting quarterback Landon York gave up one sack in 15 games last season, and three starters return in 2025. The group should be even better after another year of practicing in head coach Craig Slaughter’s spread offense (Wall ran a flexbone under previous head coach Houston Guy).
Senior center Reid Ballard was a Padilla Poll First Team All-State selection in 2024 and also played third base and pitcher on Wall’s state championship baseball team. Senior guards Baine Jenschke and Ryan Scandolari both return, as well. Jenschke (6-3, 280) didn’t allow a sack in 388 passing attempts. Senior Will Aldridge and junior Gage Jacoby are favorites to start at tackle.
