Texas and Texas A&M will meet on Black Friday this season as the Longhorns and Aggies set kickoff for 6:30 p.m. on Nov. 28. The rivalry returned last year and was played on Saturday night. Traditionally, the matchup was on Thanksgiving before it was discontinued when Texas A&M left for the SEC. This year will be the first time the two play on Black Friday since 2007.

Texas and Texas A&M first met in 1894 and have played 119 times on the gridiron. The Horns lead the series 77-37-5. The two teams didn’t play from 2012-2024 when they were separated by conferences. The Longhorns won the return game, 17-7, last year in Kyle Field. The game in 2025 is at DKR in Austin. Texas holds a 46-12-1 advantage at home in the series.
