Micah Hudson is expected to transfer to Texas A&M, sources confirm to Dave Campbell’s Texas Football.

The former five-star recruit from Lake Belton was a coverboy on the 2023 Rising edition. Hudson played in eight games as a true freshman for Texas Tech, recording eight catches for 123 yards. He arrived in Lubbock recovering from injury and never found a way into consistent playing time while in West Texas.

A fresh start in College Station might be exactly what the prep superstar needs to reach his ceiling. The Aggies need playmakers at wide receiver to unlock an offense that ranked 93rd in the FBS in passing offense with 202.3 yards per game.

Noah Thomas and Jahdae Walker never emerged as true threats for Texas A&M in 2024 – the first under offensive coordinator Collin Klein. Only two players caught more than 30 passes on the season and Thomas was the lone Aggie with more than 350 yards and two touchdowns receiving. The 16 passing touchdowns for A&M ranked 87th in the country.

Hudson is likely only one of multiple additions at wide out for Texas A&M in the current transfer portal. TexAgs was first to report.
