'Bama's Bookend in Denton ISD
2025 OT Ty Haywood (6'5, 285) - Denton Ryan: The No. 5 rated prospect in the DCTF Rising Hot 100 looked the part in a 28-0 win over Mansfield Timberview. Haywood, who has the prototype OT body, is an edge-setter who cleared the way for two touchdown runs in the early going to set the tone. - Greg Powers
Five-Star Just Keeps Getting Better
2025 CB Devin Sanchez (6'3, 180) - Galena Park North Shore: With over 30 games under his belt as a starter at the 6A level, Sachez is now one of the more veteran players in Texas high school football, and he plays like it. He has been at the top of the rankings lists his entire career, but it is impressive to see him continue to take strides in his development and techniques. He is a lockdown corner. - Greg Powers
Ford Leads a Strong Defensive Effort
2026 CB Brandon Ford (6'1, 175) - Crowley: The North Shore offense presented a big test, and the Crowley defense stepped up in a big way, forcing five turnovers. Ford got the ball rolling with a tone-setting interception in the first quarter. Ford already has 15+ offers, including Houston, SMU, Texas Tech, Arizona, Arizona State, Kansas State and Nebraska. - Greg Powers
Melissa Home to Under the Radar 2025 OL
2025 OL Ryder Slaton (6'7, 295): Slaton doesn’t have as many offers as teammates Owen Hollenbeck and Max Wright, but Hollenbeck says he’s one of the more underrated prospects in the area. He has graded out the highest of all Melissa O-linemen in each of the first two games and was dominant on Thursday night against Frisco. His recruitment hasn’t taken off yet (one offer to Lamar) because he played WR/TE until his junior year. - Carter Yates
Boomer Sooner Commit Breaks Out
2026 RB Jonathan Hatton (6'1, 205) - Cibolo Steele: Hatton had his best game in a Steele uniform as on Saturday night in a 62-34 win over San Antonio Reagan, the Oklahoma commit put on a show rushing for 213 yards and three touchdowns on just 17 carries. Hatton showed suddeness into the hole, he ran through arm tackles and showed elite speed on his 92-yard touchdown run as he blew past two DB's who had angles on him. - Matt Stepp
