Duncanville 2025 QB Keelon Russell (6'3, 175) has committed to SMU over offers from Baylor, TCU, Texas A&M, Oklahoma State and more.

Russell helped lead Duncanville to a 15-0 record and a 6A Division I state championship win, completing 170 of 254 passes for 2,477 yards and 22 touchdowns and rushing for an additional 203 yards and three scores.

Scouting Report: Russell is a quarterback with significant upside. He has a quick and easy release that allows him to stay calm and tall in the pocket and distribute the ball to an elite wide receiver unit. He shows good accuracy on the deep ball, consistently dropping it in the bucket. He is more of a passer, but he is mobile enough to move the pocket when needed or pull the ball down and run in critical situations. He will benefit from added weight, which should come with natural progression.

Russell is rated as a DCTF three-star prospect.
