In a move that had been rumored for a couple of days, Sealy head coach Shane Mobley resigned his post on Tuesday, the information was confirmed to Dave Campbell's Texas Football via a letter sent out to Sealy ISD parents by the superintendent of Sealy ISD.

Mobley has spent the past six seasons leading Sealy and had a successful stint leading the Tigers program posting an overall record of 49-21, with a 12-1 mark in 2018 and another regional semifinal appearance in 2020. He has an overall career record of 95-37, as he spent five seasons as head coach at Sweetwater where he led the Mustangs to a state title game appearance in 2016.

Rumors are circulating that Mobley is slated to take an AD position near the DFW area, but at this time Coach Mobley is unavailable for comment. Stay tuned to DCTF for more information.
