Katy Paetow 2024 DE Loghan Thomas (6'4, 210) committed to Notre Dame over offers from Arizona, Georgia, Oklahoma and Texas Tech.

"Just for what they have to offer for me for life after football," Thomas said. "Great education up there. I am originally from Ohio, so I have family that's close. Kind of going back home-ish, but really it's a big education thing for me. And they still compete for a national championship up there too, so it's the best of both worlds.

Per Katy Paetow head coach David Hicks, the Fighting Irish are getting a four-star edge rusher who is a great player on and off the field.

"His leadership, his hard work, his work ethic," Hicks said of Thomas' strengths. "It all shows."

"A true edge guy. Long. Lean. He can bend. He has so much ceiling. I think his upside is pretty high."

Thomas collected 43 tackles, 16 tackles for a loss, and nine sacks to earn third-team all-district honors as a junior in 2022. Thomas was named MVP at the All-American Combine by 247Sports and has accepted an invitation to play in the 2024 Adidas All-American Bowl.
