Texas Boasts Three of the Nation's Fastest Recruits per UC Report

ATH Terry Bussey - Timpson - 4.42 40-Yard Dash

Timpson's 5-foot-11, 175-pound two-way threat clocked the fastest official time in the country on the camp circuit this offseason with a 4.42 40-yard dash at the Under Armour Camp in Dallas. 

Bussey, who checks in as the No. 7 prospect in the state, has 30 scholarship offers, including Baylor, Texas, Texas A&M and TCU, Alabama, Arkansas, LSU, Oklahoma and Tennessee. 

OLB Justin Williams - Conroe Oak Ridge - 4.44 40-Yard Dash

The state's No. 6 prospect posted a 4.44 40-yard dash at the UC Report Camp in Houston, making him the fastest full-time defensive player in the nation and the 3rd fastest overall in this year's camp series. 

The 6-foot-2, 205-pounder named a top six of TCU, Texas, Texas A&M, Auburn, Oregon and USC but has since added new offers from Alabama, Florida, Ohio State and Georgia. 

 

WR Christopher Barnes - North Shore - 4.45 40-Yard Dash

Checking in with the fourth fastest time is the speedster from the perennial 6A powerhouse. Barnes' offer list has hit double digits and features programs like North Texas, Sam Houston, Texas State, Prairie View A&M, UIW, Jackson State and Toledo. 

Barnes had 58 receptions for 1,167 yards and 14 touchdowns as a junior in 2022.
