Katy Jordan 2024 ATH Zechariah Sample (5'11, 165) committed to Arizona State over offers from Arkansas State, ULM, Tulsa, Texas State, UNLV and more.

ASU's level of competition played a role in Sample's decision-making process.

"Those that know me, know that I want to compete at the highest level possible," Sample wrote.

Sample checks in as a DCTF three-star prospect.

Sample showcased his athleticism as a junior for the Warriors, starring on both sides of the ball. Walking the halls of Katy Jordan you'll often hear the phrase "best athete on the team."

On offense, he collected 32 receptions for 595 yards and six touchdowns. On defense, he racked up 21 tackles, five PBUs and three interceptions. He earned second-team all-district honors on both sides of the ball.

Sample is the second player from Texas in the Class of 2024 to issue a non-binding verbal commitment to Arizona State, joining Mesquite WR Elijah Baesa
