Prospect on the Rise

Red Oak 2024 LB Zach Smith (6'1, 200) is a new DCTF three-star prospect who continues to pick up recruiting steam because he is quick to the football and a violent tackler. 

Smith picked up a new offer from Florida State, adding to a list featuring Arizona State, Arkansas State, North Texas, Oregon State, SMU and Texas State.  

Smith collected 101 tackles, 9 TFLs, five sacks, and five PBUs to earn second-team all-district honors as a junior in 2022. 

Commit of the Week

Rice Consolidated 2024 ATH Roger Gradney (6'1, 190) committed to Nebraska over offers from Texas Tech and UTSA. 

Gradney is rated as a DCTF three-star. 

Scouting Report: Gradney is an elite athlete who is a star on the track and a playmaker in all phases on the gridiron; offense, defense, and special teams. Gradney missed a portion of his junior season in 2022, so he could rise the rankings charts with a strong start in 2023. 

Underclassman of the Week

Summer Creek 2025 DE Chad Woodfork (6'3, 215) took home DL MVP honors at the UC Report Power Academy and was named a four-star by DCTF. 

The edge-rushing specialist has offers from Houston, Marshall, Grambling, Texas State, Texas Tech, UIW and UTSA. 

Woodfork is a tremendous all-around athlete who competes in track and can dunk a basketball flat-footed. 

Recruit of the Week

Spring Westfield 2024 OL Ray'Quan Bell (6'4, 305) punched his ticket to the Under Armour All-America Game following an impressive performance at the UC Report Power Academy. 

Bell is a no-nonsense offensive lineman who takes pride in finishing off his blocks with a bit of nasty. 

On the recruiting front, Bell reports high interest in Baylor, Houston, TCU and Oklahoma.
