The fast rise of Ramon Chinyoung in the coaching ranks is bringing the Houston native back to his home state, as according to reports from Mike Klis of KUSA-TV in Denver, Chinyoung is joining Mike McCarthy’s staff with the Dallas Cowboys as the assistant offensive line coach.

Chinyoung, as recently as 2019 was an assistant coach at Spring Westfield before his rise began in 2020 when he was hired as a head coach at Fort Bend Willowridge. In two seasons leading the Eagles, Chinyoung led WHS to an 11-8 record before moving to the NFL in February of 2022 when he landed a quality control position with the Denver Broncos working under OL Coach Butch Berry and former Broncos offensive coordinator Justin Outten, who was on Westfield’s staff from 2012-2016.

Chinyoung comes to Dallas where he will be part of a revamped offensive coaching staff under Coach McCarthy as the Cowboys look to get past the divisional round hurdle for the first time since the 1995 season, he’ll work with an offensive line that could be in some transition with an aging Tyron Smith, Jason Peters who has uncertain future coming out of retirement, Terence Steele coming off a significant injury and Connor McGovern entering free agency.
