2024 DE Colin Simmons (6'3, 225) - Duncanville
Simmons is the highest-rated defensive player in the playoffs, leading a Duncanville defense that has limited opponents to 10.89 points per game. He is a terrorizing pass-rusher who will get to the quarterback early and often. The DCTF five-star boasts offers from Texas, Texas A&M, Alabama, Georgia, LSU, Oklahoma and many more.

2023 QB Jackson Arnold (6'2, 205) - Denton Guyer
Arnold is looking for one more chance to win a state title, and he enters the playoffs playing his best football. The No. 5-rated prospect in the DCTF Hot 100 is a quarterback who has a college-ready frame, throws with tremendous accuracy, and is dangerous enough as a runner when he needs to be. Arnold is committed to Oklahoma. 

Another Name to Know: 2023 WR Johntay Cook II (6'0, 175) - DeSoto

5A-DI

2023 WR Micah Hudson (6'0, 185) - Lake Belton
The No. 1 rated prospect in the 2024 DCTF Hot 100. Hudson is the star of every field that he steps on. He is a tremendous route runner with strong hands. He finds a way to make big plays when his team needs it, even if he is being double-teamed. The five-star prospect already has offers from every major college in America. 

Another Name to Know: 2023 OLB Anthony Hill (6'2, 225) - Denton Ryan

5A-DII

2023 CB Malik Muhammad (6'0, 170) - South Oak Cliff
Muhammad is the centerpiece of the SOC defense because he completely shuts down one side of the field. Teams do not even want to try and test him. Muhammad is rated as the No. 1 CB in the state. He is committed to Texas but still entertaining offers from Texas A&M and Alabama. 

Another Name to Know: 2024 RB James Peoples (5'11, 195) - San Antonio Veterans Memorial

4A-DI

2023 RB Rueben Owens II (5'11, 190) - El Campo
Owens is the type of player who could get on a heater and lead his team to the promised land. He is a running back with the perfect blend of speed, change of direction, and power. The DCTF five-star prospect is committed to Louisville. 

Another Name to Know: 2025 RB Rickey Stewart (5'10, 180) - Tyler Chapel Hill

4A-DII

2024 WR Drelon Miller (6'2, 200) - Silsbee
Miller led Silsbee to an undefeated regular season, showcasing the ability to dominate every week. The DCTF four-star is one of the state's most heavily recruited prospects with offers from schools like TCU, Texas, Texas A&M, Georgia, LSU, Michigan, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State and Stanford. 

Another Name to Know: 2024 CB Kobe Black (6'0, 190) - Waco Connally

3A-DI

2024 WR Jaden Porter (6'0, 185) - Lorena
Porter is a DCTF four-star who is committed to Baylor. He helped lead Lorena to the state title last season, but they have bumped up a classification this year. That said, he is the type of offensive weapon that can and will take over games. They face a stiff test versus Columbus in game one. 

Another Name to Know: 2024 ATH Damien McDaniel (6'0, 165) - Hitchcock

3A-DII

2024 ATH Aeryn Hampton (5'10, 175) - Daingerfield
The Texas commit is a two-way star who can completely lock down his side of the field playing cornerback or pick up massive yardage on offense. He forms a formidable 1-2 punch with 2023 ATH Jakevian Rodgers. 

Another Name to Know: 2023 ATH Anthony White (6'0, 180) - Abernathy

2A-DI

2023 WR Dalton Brooks (6'1, 175) - Shiner
The Texas A&M commit is rated as the No. 10 prospect in the DCTF Hot 100. Brooks has won back-to-back state titles, but this year's bracket is very tough with potential matchups versus Refugio and Timpson. The DCTF four-star will be integral on both sides of the ball if the Comanches are to three-peat. 

Another Name to Know: 2024 ATH Terry Bussey (5'11, 185) - Timpson

2A-DII

2023 ATH J'Maury Davis (6'2, 190) - Clarendon
The DCTF three-star is verbally committed to signing with Texas Tech. The Red Raiders have him penciled in to play on the defensive side of the ball, but he is the offensive star for the Broncos who has a knack for turning in big runs at crucial moments. 

Another Name to Know: 2023 RB/LB Elijah Jackson (6'1, 190) - Archer City
