SMU quarterback Preston Stone broke his collarbone against Tulsa and is likely out for the remainder of the 2022 season, according to a report by the Dallas Morning News. Stone, a former four-star recruit out of Parish Episcopal, was in his first start for the Mustangs before an injury sidelined him in the first half. The freshman was 11 of 17 for 219 yards and a touchdown before exiting the game. True freshman Kevin Jennings finished the game at quarterback for SMU with Tanner Mordecai still in concussion protocol.
