Fort Bend Hightower 2024 WR Zion Kearney (6'3, 195) has picked up 23 scholarship offers, naming schools like Texas A&M, Baylor, Houston and Kansas as the programs recruiting him the most aggressively.

Kansas State was his most recent offer.

"Yeah, it was pretty nice," Kearney said of his recruiting rise. "It was exciting. It kind of blew up out of nowhere, but I love it."

When asked about colleges he would like to hear more from, Kearney mentioned Florida and LSU.

Kearney took an important unofficial visit to Texas A&M over the summer for the annual recruiting pool party.

"Everybody there was cool like they got a vibe," Kearney said. And then all the freshmen dorms and all of that, it's like everybody is cool even (at) the pool party. Like no matter what they are still gonna treat you like family."

"Coach Craig (Texas A&M Quarterbacks Coach Dameyune Craig), that's my guy. Yeah, he's cool. He made sure he treats me like family."

Kearney worked hard in the offseason to prepare for an important junior year.

"I feel like I got better at everything, especially releases and working on my speed, like what I can do with my speed, and that benefits the team a lot," Kearney said.

"First team all-district and the No. 1  player in the country. That's what I want to be. Show everybody what I can do."
