Texas Longhorns star linebacker DeMarvion Overshown was arrested on Monday for possession of marijuana, according to reports from 247Sports. The senior had less than two ounces of marijuana in his possession. He's since been released from custody in Van Zandt County. Overshown is second on the team with 23 tackles. The Longhorns travel to Texas Tech to face on the Red Raiders in the Big 12 opener on Saturday.

The citation was issued last December, a source told Brian Davis at the Austin American-Statesman. He did a walk-through on Monday as part of the citation. Steve Sarkisian told the Statesman that Overshown served his punishment for that citation months ago.
