Prospect on the Rise

Corpus Christi Miller 2023 WR Lonnie Adkism (6'0, 180) committed to Sam Houston, picking the Bearkats over offers from Texas Southern, Texas State, UTSA and Washington State.  

Adkism is one of the state's most prolific wide receivers, racking up 181 receptions, 3,387 yards, and 38 touchdowns in the past two seasons. 

*Sam Houston also added a commitment from DCTF three-star OG Zachary Session (Katy Morton Ranch).

Commit of the Week

Teague 2023 DE Derion Gullette (6'3, 225) committed to Texas over offers from Texas A&M, Alabama, Florida, Miami (FL), Ohio State and Oklahoma. 

Gullette is rated as the No. 19 prospect in the DCTF Hot 100. 

Next Level Athlete Scouting Report: Gullette is an outside linebacker who possesses very nice length with long arms. A two-way high school standout who embraces contact on both sides of the ball. Gullette racked up 125 tackles, five TFLs, and three sacks to earn first-team all-state honors as a junior. He was also crowned the 8-2A-Division I Co-MVP. 

Underclassman of the Week

2025 Red Oak WR Taz Williams (5'11, 165) picked up his first two scholarship offers from Texas A&M and Penn State. 

Williams has been one of the top 2025 performers on the camp scene this offseason beginning with a standout performance at the Next Level Athlete Texas Top 100 Showcase in Dallas. 

Williams will be a crucial weapon in the Red Oak offense after starring on the sub-varsity team last season. 

Recruit of the Week

La Grange 2023 CB Bravion Rogers (5'11, 185) decommitted from Texas A&M. 

Rogers has racked up 21 scholarship offers and is considering programs such as Alabama and LSU in addition to TAMU. 

Rogers, who owns 10.69 100-meter speed, checks in as the No. 21 prospect overall in the DCTF Hot 100.
