Woodville 2023 DT Braylon Rigsby (6'2, 265) committed to Texas Tech over offers from Northwestern State, Sam Houston, Louisiana Lafayette, ACU, Houston Baptist and Washington State. 

Rigsby was a standout at the Next Level Athlete Texas Top 100 SHowcase in Houston. 

Scouting Report: Rigsby is a dominant bull rusher who exhibits good first step explosion. He shows his overall athleticism and length on special teams by blocking kicks and punts. Rigsby was named the 11-3A Defensive Lineman of the Year. 

Commit of the Week

Killeen Harker Heights 2023 OG Jaydon Chatman (6'4, 300) committed to Texas over offers from Texas A&M, Alabama, LSU and Oklahoma. 

Chatman is rated as a DCTF four-star prospect, checking in as No. 3 OG in the DCTF Hot 100. 

Next Level Athlete Scouting Report: Chatman is an athletic offensive lineman with eye-opening dominant plays versus quality competition. He has excellent flexibility and a tremendous punch by playing heavy-handed on zone and base blocks. He connects on the second level with lethal force.

Underclassman of the Week

Allen 2024 QB Michael Hawkins Jr. (6'2, 185) picked up an offer from Alabama. 

Hawkins also has offers from Arkansas, Michigan, NC State, SMU and Virginia Tech.

The DCTF four-star was the QB MVP at the Next Level Athlete Texas Top 100 Showcase in Dallas. 

Recruit of the Week

Converse Judson 2023 DT Johnny Bowens (6'2, 265) announced he has decommitted from Texas A&M. 

Bowens is fresh from an official visit to Oregon, and the Ducks made a considerable impression.  

Bowens, who is rated as a DCTF four-star, also has offers from Baylor, Houston, Texas and LSU.
