Prospect on the Rise

Allen 2023 OL Kasen Carpenter (6'3, 265) picked up his first Power Five conference offer from Texas Tech. 

Carpenter now has 16 offers with schools like Air Force, Arkansas State, Army, Liberty, Navy, North Texas, Tulsa and UNLV on the list. 

Carpenter played his junior season at Midlothian Heritage but will play for Allen as a senior (his father is a coach on staff).

Commit of the Week

Amarillo Tascosa 2023 DE Avion Carter (6'4, 260) committed to TCU over offers from Texas, Texas Tech, and Oklahoma State. 

Carter is rated as a DCTF four-star prospect, checking in at No. 25 in the DCTF Hot 100. 

Next Level Athlete Scouting Report: Carter is a truly explosive defensive line prospect with a lightning-quick first step that allows him to terrorize quarterback and consistently make plays behind the line of scrimmage.

Underclassman of the Week

Colleyville Heritage 2025 ATH Riley Wormley (5'10, 175) picked up new offers from Texas after attending the 'Texas Elite Bash' for underclassmen. 

Wormley also holds early offers from schools like SMU, TCU, Texas Tech, UTSA, Arkansas and Oklahoma. Texas A&M is also showing iterest. 

Wormley camped at SMU just over a week ago and posted a 4.45 40-yard dash. 

Wormley scored eight touchdowns and accounted for over 400 yards of offense as a freshman in 2021. 

Recruit of the Week

A recruiting battle is forming for one of the state's top-rated quarterbacks.

Dripping Springs 2023 QB Austin Novosad (6'3, 180) recently picked up an offer from Ohio State and officially visited Columbus this past weekend. 

Novosad is verbally committed to Baylor, and he is the centerpiece of BU's 2023 class. He will be using an official visit to see BU this weekend to "compare and contrast" the two programs.

The Elite 11 finalist plans to take a couple of weeks to evaluate the two programs before reaching a final decision.
