Klein Forest 2023 DE Brad Spence (6'2, 225) is one of the state's most physically imposing specimens, and he is closing in on 30 scholarship offers.
Spence picked up new offers this week from Arizona State, Colorado State, Louisiana, Alabama State and Howard, adding to an impressive list that also includes SMU, Texas, Arkansas, Cincinnati, Colorado, Mississippi State, Nebraska and Utah.
Spence collected 72 tackles and 11 TFLs to earn all-district honors as a junior.
His brother, OLB Trent Spence (6'3, 200), is a name to know in the Class of 2025.
Commit of the Week
Coppell 2023 CB Braxton Myers (6'1, 185) committed to USC over offers from Arkansas, Auburn, Clemson and LSU.
Myers is rated as a DCTF four-star prospect, checking in at No. 24 in the DCTF Hot 100.
Next Level Athlete Scouting Report: A big, physical cover corner, Myers has a refined technique to go along with his natural size and length. He is feet and quickness allow him to transition quickly, and he is often found attacking the ball.
Underclassman of the Week
Frisco Centennial 2024 RB Harry Stewart III (5'10, 205) picked up a new offer from Texas A&M this week.
The Aggies join Baylor on Stewart's early offer list.
The FISD standout has already rushed for 1,834 yards and 14 touchdowns. He was named the District 5-5A Division I Offensive Newcomer of the Year in 2020 and earned all-district honors in 2021.
Recruit of the Week
Cypress Bridgeland 2023 TE Reid Mikeska (6'5, 235) decommitted from Clemson and has opened his recruitment.
With 45 scholarship offers, Mikeska is one of the state's most heavily recruited athletes.
Mikeska has scheduled two official visits: Oklahoma (June 3) and Florida (June 17).
Mikeska is a DCTF three-star prospect, checking in as the No. 2 TE in the state.
