Prospect on the Rise

Austin Westlake 2023 DE Colton Vasek (6'6, 230) picked up a huge in-state offer from Texas A&M. 

Vasek has 17 scholarship offers, with schools like Baylor, TCU, Texas, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State and Utah checking in. 

Vasek helped lead the Chaps to the 6A Division II state championship. 

Commit of the Week

Denton Guyer 2023 QB Jackson Arnold (6'1, 195) committed to Oklahoma over offers from Baylor, TCU, Alabama, Notre Dame, Ohio State and more. 

Arnold checks in at No. 7 in the DCTF Hot 100. He is rated as the No. 1 QB in the state.

Next Level Athlete Scouting Report: Arnold is a heady quarterback with the arm talent to hit all areas of the field with a flick of his wrist. He throws with accuracy, velocity, and touch, and he can also hurt a defense with his legs.

Underclassmen of the Week

This week Duncanville 2025 WR Dakorien Moore (6'0, 165) took an unofficial visit to Texas and picked up new offers from Baylor, Texas, Texas A&M, USC and Oregon State.  

Moore, who was listed as one of the Top 25 Freshmen in DCTF Rising, also has offers from Arizona, Florida, Georgia Tech, Kansas, Oklahoma, Pittsburgh, SMU, Tennessee, Texas Tech, Toledo, Utah, UTSA and Jackson State. 

Moore helped lead the Panthers to the 6A Division I state title game. He collected 15 receptions for 366 yards and five touchdowns. 

Recruit of the Week

Cypress Park OLB Harold Perkins (6'2, 200) decommitted from Texas A&M. He lists a top four of Texas, LSU, Florida, and Texas A&M. 

Perkins is set to announce a final decision on his college destination on National Signing Day (Feb. 2) at Cypress Park High School. 

Perkins, who announced for the Aggies at the Under Armour All-America Game, took a recent official visit to Florida and is set to visit LSU this weekend.
