Denton Ryan 2023 WR Jordyn Bailey (5'9, 160) committed to TCU over offers from Houston, Texas Tech, North Texas, UTSA, Colorado and Memphis.
Bailey hauled in 65 receptions for 723 yards and six touchdowns as a junior to help lead the Raiders to a 12-2 record.
Scouting Report: Bailey has a knack for racking up yards after the catch. He can make defenders miss in tight spaces and has the type of speed to take it the distance. He is best suited to play in the slot in college.
Commit of the Week
San Antonio Brennan S Tyler Turner (6'0, 180) announced his commitment to Baylor over Rice, SMU, Texas Tech and UTSA.
Turner checks in at No. 50 in the DCTF Hot 100.
Next Level Athlete Scouting Report: Turner is one of the top players in San Antonio regardless of position. He is a natural safety who shows tremendous range and lateral ability. He is a sure tackler who can easily make plays in the box or the flats.
Underclassmen of the Week
Katy Mayde Creek CB TayShawn Wilson (5'9, 165) earned All-Combine honors following a strong performance at the All-American Bowl Combine in San Antonio.
Wilson has picked up early offers from Baylor, Houston, Texas, Buffalo and Louisiana Tech.
Wilson will compete at the Next Level Athlete Texas Top 100 Showcase in Houston on Saturday.
Note: Arlington Lamar OT Isaiah Robinson and Dripping Springs QB Austin Novosad also earned All-Combine honors.
Recruit of the Week
Austin Westlake five-star QB Cade Klubnik (6'2, 185) capped off a remarkable prep career by winning the All-American Bowl player of the Year following a three-touchdown performance in Saturday's game.
Klubnik completed 67% of his passes for 205 yards and three touchdowns in a 34-14 win for the West squad.
Klubnik, who helped Westlake capture its third consecutive state title game in December, is rated as the No. 1 QB in the state.
