DCTF's newest five-star -- Frisco Liberty WR Evan Stewart (6'0, 175) -- announced his commitment to Texas A&M on Monday night, picking the Aggies over offers from Texas and Alabama.  

Stewart is the fourth prospect in the Class of 2022 to earn DCTF five-star staus, joining Galena Park North Shore CB Denver Harris, Duncanville DE Omari Abor, and Summer Creek OT Kelvin Banks Jr. 

Stewart checks in as the No. 3 prospect in the state and the No. 1 WR. 

He is one of the nation's most heavily recruited prospects earning 37 scholarship offers. 

Stewart committed to Texas in February but decommitted from the Longhorns to explore other options in March.  

As a junior in 2019, Stewart hauled in 46 receptions for 913 yards and nine touchdowns to help lead the Redhawks to the 5A Division II playoffs. 

In a shortened senior season, Stewart collected 19 receptions for 414 yards and three scores. 

Scouting Report: Stewart has a unique package of skills. He ran a blistering 10.58 100-meter dash and was the 5A gold medal winner in the long jump. His track skills show through on his highlight reel as he abuses defensive backs, securing over 2,000 yards and 19 touchdowns in a three-year prep career. 

He is one of the state's most athletic receivers regardless of classification. He can accelerate quickly and run away from the fastest defensive backs in the open field. His short-area quickness and leaping ability only add to his allure as a prospect. Stewart is a prospect who will excel playing in the slot and create a lot of mismatches there.
