Unbeaten Jersey Village faces their biggest test of the season this week as they will host a stout Katy Tompkins squad whose only loss this year came at the hands of powerhouse Katy.
Jersey Village last week had no trouble taking care of Houston Westside, 56-23, as Rashon Estes ran for 139 yards and three touchdowns for the Falcons while QB Adam Tran posted an efficient 224 yards passing and a touchdown to lead the JVHS offense.
Tompkins took down Fort Bend Travis, 49-21, as RB Wyatt Young ran for 98 yards and four touchdowns to lead a balanced Falcons attack.
Katy Tompkins doesn’t have the big name talent they’ve had in the past two seasons, but they are a solid unit across the board and are a bit more battled tested than Jersey Village, especially when it comes to these big playoff matchups.
