Prospect on the Rise

2022 Dallas Parish Episcopal RB Andrew Paul (5'11, 220) is on a hot streak. He picked up new offers this week from Michigan State, Auburn and Houston.

Paul also holds Power Five offers from Cal, Colorado and Missouri.

Paul rushed for 1,699 yards and 28 touchdowns during the regular season to lead the Panthers to a 9-1 record.

Commit of the Week

Fort Bend Marshall WR Chris Marshall (6'3, 195) committed to Texas A&M over offers from Alabama and USC.

Marshall is rated as a DCTF four-star prospect, checking in at No. 21 in the DCTF Hot 100.

Next Level Athlete Scouting Report: Marshall could end up being the best wide receiver in the recruiting class. He burst onto the scene as a junior, which was his first year playing football. Marshall is a natural playmaker with the size and natural ball skills to make tough catches look easy.

Underclassmen of the Week

2023 Arlington Seguin S Jamel Johnson (6'1, 175) committed to Texas.

Next Level Athlete Scouting Report: Solidly built, Johnson has the ability to play a variety of spots across the secondary. He has the feet and hips to play corner and he has the physicality to play safety. That versatility has made him a high priority.

Recruits of the Week

New Texas Tech head coach Joey McGuire is off to a fast start in recruiting, securing three DCTF three-star commitments from Cedar Hill.

CB Jalon Peoples (6'0, 175): Peoples is a lockdown cover corner with experience going against some of the best in the state. His length and change of direction allow him to quickly mirror opponents. He has a knack for reading routes and attacking the ball.

DT Harvey Dyson (6'3, 260): Dyson spends a lot of time playing on the edge in Cedar Hill's four-man front. Still, his future is likely inside at defensive tackle, where he can use his quick first step and lower body strength to outmaneuver offensive lineman and make plays behind the line of scrimmage.

DT Syncere Massey (6'5, 270): Massey's huge frame, bend and flexibility are quick to draw attention. He comes off the ball low with an explosive first step and quick hands. His length and leverage allows him to get good extension and he has the athleticism to shed the block and get to the ball.
