It's a Top 10 5A Division II matchup of unbeaten teams in District 7-5A as ninth-ranked Frisco goes up against third-ranked Lovejoy.

Frisco used its Wing-T offense to bring down Denison 28-14 a week ago. Although they were outgained on offense, the Raccoons were able to stay firm and take home the win. Quarterback Brandon Miyazono was the focal point of the attack as he threw for 81 yards with a touchdown and interception. On the ground, Miyazono ran for 127 yards and two touchdowns. The Frisco defense was able to control the game with an interception on Denison’s first drive and they forced a fumble early in the second quarter.

Lovejoy put away Lake Dallas 55-7 to continue their unbeaten streak. Lovejoy had a complete performance as they put up 495 yards and limited Lake Dallas to only 98 yards. Quarterback Alexander Franklin was the star as he threw 14 of 19 for 327 yards, six touchdowns, and one interception. Running back Matthew Mainord was the man on the ground as he had nine carries for 108 yards and a touchdown. The Lovejoy defense forced three turnovers as they picked off two passes.

This one is sure to be exciting as both teams battle for district supremacy. Will the Raccoons be able to slow down Lovejoy? Or will the Leopards show why they are the third ranked team in 5A Division II. One thing that can’t happen for Frisco is being outgained on yards again as Lovejoy is capable of punishing them.
