Southlake Carroll was on a bye last week, but in their last game continued to roll on in their undefeated season as they took apart Keller Central 63-7. The Dragons offense was clicking on all cylinders tallying 563 yards on the night. Quarterback Kaden Anderson has continued to shine as he threw for 277 yards, three touchdowns, and an interception. Landon Sampson was the main receiver as he caught the ball nine times for 127 yards and two touchdowns. Maddux Reid, stepping in for injured running back Owen Allen, ran for 118 yards and three touchdowns. The Carroll defense was stout as well as they came away with two interceptions. Haslet Eaton had a nail-biter against Keller Central as it went down to the wire for a 22-19 win. Quarterback Tyler Fussell tried to offset his two interceptions in the second quarter with 175 yards and a touchdown; he also had 17 yards and a touchdown on the ground. Running back JB Brown helped alleviate pressure from his quarterback with 14 carries for 102 yards. Eaton’s close win over Central doesn’t bode well for this game, after Carroll dismissed them last time. Will Eaton be able to clean up their mistakes? Or will Southlake Carroll continue the march towards a district title?
